Jared Paul Goedert (born May 25, 1985 in Concordia, Kansas), is an American professional baseball player. An infielder, Goedert plays in the Cleveland Indians organization of Major League Baseball. He has yet to make his MLB debut.

Goedert attended Concordia High School and Kansas State University before being drafted by the Cleveland Indians. Since 2006, Goedert has played in minor league baseball with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, Lake County Captains, Kinston Indians, Akron Aeros and he currently plays for the Triple-A club; Columbus Clippers.

After the 2010 season, Goedert was added to the Indians' 40 man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft.[1]

Jared's father, Joe Goedert, also played baseball at Kansas State University. Jared has three younger brothers. Keaton attends Kansas State University. Corbin attends Coffeyville (KS) Community College and plays football. Connor attends Ottawa (KS) High School.

Goedert was designated for assignment by the Indians on July 21, 2011, in order to make room on the 40-man roster for rookie second baseman Jason Kipnis.[2]
